Mohammed Bin Rashid will hold discussion session with citizens and journalists

The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will participate in the two-day government summit, titled ''Leadership in Government Services'', opening next Monday.

The summit, being held for the first time and due to be attended by over 2000 participants and key officials from the UAE, Arab and International world, aims to review the main developments and international trends to secure government services.

Sheikh Mohammed will answer the questions of citizens and journalists regarding his vision for the progress of government work during the forthcoming period as well as the most important principles of government leadership. He will also elaborate on the Government's national priorities to achieve 2021 Vision, which he launched three years ago aiming to make the UAE one of the best countries in the world.

Speakers at the Government Summit will include H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, who will discuss a number of issues concerning government performance.

The organising committee has called all interested citizens and journalists to send their questions to the Vice President through his official website starting from today until the date of the summit. The Vice President will hold an open session on the first day to answer these questions as well as making a statement to summarise his future vision for developing the performance of the UAE Government and the important future developments in services sector and public government policies.

The summit will host several speakers from around the world and specialised research centres in government development. It will discuss expertise from Denmark, Canada, Australia, South Korea and Brazil as well as a number of successful local experiences.

There will be a session addressed by Saqr Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, and an open panel discussion with the UAE Health, Education and Social Affairs ministers.

Speakers from the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore and some international institutions, including the United Nations, the World Bank and the World Economic Forum, will also address the summit, while speakers from a number of international companies will also share their successful experience in the field of customer service.

Mohammed Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister for Cabinet Affairs and chairman of the organizing committee, commenting on the agenda, said: " The summit is an important addition to the level of government services, not only regionally but globally as well, and that is why we are keen to include breakout sessions on important issues affecting the needs of the citizens and the sophisticated methods of service quality.
