The UAE is already doing well in the competitiveness report, and has the capability to become a role model for the future, said Prof. Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.

Speaking to His Excellency Mohammed Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs following his main address on ‘The Dawn of the Fourth Industrial Revolution’, Schwab advised: “What is very important is to have a stakeholder approach to shape the future, involving everyone including academia, business and the young people to develop a common strategy.”

Schwab further added that the UAE could set an example for the world.

He told Al Gergawi: “You have a chance to serve as a kind of laboratory, norm setting and drive innovation.”
