Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi launches inaugural Global Dialogue for Happiness

Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, the UAE's Minister of State for Happiness has launched the inaugural Global Dialogue for Happiness. The full-day event – which brings together top thinkers, decision makers and experts from around the world to start a global discussion on the importance of happiness and well-being, and the imperative role of governments in achieving elevated levels of happiness worldwide – takes place as a precursor to the 2017 World Government Summit from 12-14 February, 2017.

Her Excellency emphasised the importance of governments' role in promoting the happiness of its people. The event will discuss topics focusing on how to improve human happiness around the world.

 

International experts appearing today include His Excellency Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

They will discuss main themes impacting happiness and wellbeing, including government and public policy, sound and effective measurements of happiness, and the latest scientific literature and research on happiness and wellbeing.
