A Dialogue on the Future of Government Services

Government Services Forum
  • In the digital era we live in, governments worldwide are faced with the challenge of modernizing their digital infrastructure and services to meet the needs and expectations of an ever-more tech-savvy population, who today expect governments to deliver levels of quality, speed and convenience that are on par with those delivered by the private sector, and more specifically the global applications that citizens enjoy in everyday life.
  • Digital Transformation is a multi-faceted endeavor that requires input and buy-in from a broad and diverse spectrum of stakeholders – i.e., from intergovernmental agencies and local authorities to private sector partners, NGOs, and, crucially, the citizens themselves. Each plays a vital role in shaping the digital landscape of a nation.
  • AI can significantly enhance government services by improving efficiency and internal operations, increasing the effectiveness of public policies, boosting the responsiveness and reliability of public services, and enhancing transparency and accountability.

In its 6th Edition, the Government Services Forum, part of the World Governments Summit 2024, brought together senior leaders from the public and private sectors from around the world to engage in a dialogue on the future of government services. The forum was an exclusive opportunity to strategically connect and converse on a platform engineered to propel shared experiences and challenges into meaningful dialogue and action. The 2024 edition of the forum focused on human-centric service design, AI-powered government services and government digital transformation.
