Estonia’s e-Residency program offers anyone in the world the opportunity to have a government-issued digital ID, which gives non-Estonians access to a whole network of Estonian services such as company formation, banking, payment processing, and taxation. E-Residency offers the freedom to easily start and manage a global business in the EU while maintaining an entirely digital presence in the country. This is one of the many technological innovations that blockchain has already enabled in Estonia, as the technology underpins all of Estonia’s digital identity services.
