Meeting of the Global Data Commons (GDC) international task force. The GDC is aimed at helping researchers, governments, corporations, start-ups and individuals to train their algorithms on large, relevant, structured and unstructured data sets. Over 40 institutions as part of the International Task Force have submitted position papers on the development of a Global Data Commons. This session will explore their ideas in more depth and reach a conclusion on the best partway to the development of such a crucial data sharing exercise. The GDC will also feed larger AI for good programs such as the AI4SDG (Artificial Intelligence for the UN Sustainable Development Goals) Center being set up in Dubai.
