2021: Forecasting the Year Ahead

Brief

2020 has been a year where almost every pattern of life has been disrupted. To cope with these sudden, fast-moving changes, experts in every field, professionals in different industries, and policymakers are heavily dependent on the collection of new data to identify patterns and make informed forecasts. Making nuanced forecasts helps in the making of calculated, low-risk decisions, more than ever in such situations, to navigate through the changing landscape and develop solutions to sprouting challenges. In this session, futurist Prof. Paul Saffo of Stanford University, shares his thoughts on the crucial role that future forecasting has to play in preparing for the coming phase during and post the pandemic era.
