<p>Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Innovative Teacher Award 2017was presented. The award involves a prize ofone million dirhams to the winner.</p> <p>Launched in 2015in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GEMS_Education" title="GEMS Education">GEMS Education</a> Foundation,the Innovative Teacher Award targetsinnovative Emirati teachers in the education sector. The UAE have always strived to adapt the best and most effective methods to support the education sector in a way that complements the national agenda and UAE vision 2021. Furthermore,such an influence will contribute to the development of an excellent education system in the country. </p> <p>In the presence of His Excellency Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi and Mr. Sunny Varkey, founder of&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GEMS_Education" title="GEMS Education">GEMS</a>, His Highness presented the Award of Innovative Teacher 2017to Maryam Rashid Suleiman Al Zayoudi, an Arabic Teacher at Al Masa High School.</p> <p>Al Zayoudiholds a Masters of Artwith a GPA of 4.0. She is also a strong education activist at both the municipality and Ministry of Education levels.She has so far accomplished many achievements,most significantly the innovation of the first interactive teaching project in Arabic language.</p>
