Keynote by H.E. Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus

2020 brought upon a global pandemic that had put most of the world in an unprecedented, months-long lockdown. Scientists, researchers, and governments rushed contain cases, save crashing economies, and ensure vaccines were developed to keep the global pandemic from leading to a prolonged global catastrophe. Several vaccines were launched around the world, and are already being administered in many nations. However, there are still several challenges that governments need to overcome, such as vaccine availability, logistics, and also minimizing vaccine hesitancy that is on the rise. We are joined by a global voice who has been at the forefront of explaining the pandemic to the world, H.E. Dr. Tedros Ghebreyesus, Director General of the World Health Organization. Dr. Tedros will address what a year ahead with vaccines will look like and what it implies for nations worldwide.
