Are Governments Responsible for Data Protection?

Brief

Questions around privacy and data protection are an increasingly pressing concern in today’s hyperconnected world. As the world is increasingly online, large servers and databanks require unprecedented levels of security and protection. But who is responsible for protecting consumer and civilian data? Is it up to our governments? Organizations? Manufacturers? In this session, we hear from Kevin Thomas, Senator of New York State, Chairman of Committee on Consumer Protection and Eugene Kaspereky, CEO of Kaspersky, on the responsibility of data protection.
