Society is transitioning from digital pastimes to digital lives with the rise of social platforms, e-commerce, e-government, remote working and learning, and much more. The rapid growth of digital platforms has outpaced government policy and regulation as governments address emerging issues at different speeds and with different approaches. In the meantime, the gap in data and digital governance at large is posing ethical questions surrounding the growing role of technology in our lives and the changing nature of privacy that comes with it. How are attitudes to privacy changing, and where do societies draw the line?
