Securing the Energy Transition: Resilience and Reliability in The Face of Evolving Threats
Brief
Our planet is 1.1°C warmer today than in the 1800s, and governments need to curb global warming to no more than 1.5°C, as laid out in the landmark Paris Agreement. Net zero pledges are gaining momentum as world leaders convene to address the climate crisis with the urgency it deserves. Yet, these targets are not met with decisive action, falling short of combatting one of humanity’s biggest existential threats. In this session, government and private sector leaders present policy recommendations to strengthen global cooperation.
