Africa's Future Post 2021

Brief

In the advent of a global pandemic that sent shockwaves to familiar processes, the geopolitical plain and the world economic structure, governments and nations were left confused and distressed. Regions have struggled to deal with the aftermath of the human and economic losses of the crisis, while others made it through in much better circumstances. How did the African region fare? What major changes have we seen across Africa in terms of jobs, human lives and livelihoods, economy and wellbeing? And what is next for Africa, through this phase of the crisis and beyond? What can we expect to change within governments and economies in 2021? We are joined by Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings, the United Bank of Africa, Transcorp and Founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation to discuss the changes that have swept across the African region in economy, geopolitics and governance, and where are we headed from here?
