As Global Chief Marketing Officer of MetLife, Esther Lee is responsible for all aspects of its global customer strategy and journey and its global branding and marketing. In just four years, she has transformed marketing at MetLife from a tactical sales support function to a strategic customer insights-led growth practice and a valued partner to the company’s business teams across the world. Her team’s work has introduced new disciplines to shape how the company develops products and solutions, experiences, communications and end-to-end relationships that directly address customer needs, wants and aspirations. Throughout her career, Esther’s priority has always been to develop the consumer and customer strategies that simultaneously drive business growth for companies and create better solutions for the people they serve. Prior to MetLife, Esther served as Global Chief Creative Officer of The Coca-Cola Company and SVP for Brand, Marketing, Advertising and Sponsorships at AT&T. She also held various leadership positions at advertising agencies including DiNoto Lee, the agency she co-founded. Beyond driving marketing transformation for Fortune 50 companies, Esther is also passionate about helping other companies, entrepreneurs and social endeavors hone their strategies and drive impact. She currently serves as a Director of the Clorox Company and is on the Board of Advisors of Kairos and the Board of Directors of Hatch. In 2018, Esther was inducted into the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Hall of Fame. She has also been named a "Power Player" by Ad Age on its list of the "100 Most Influential Women in Advertising" and was honored by the Advertising Club of New York as an "Advertising Person of the Year.” A graduate of Cornell University, she is an avid skier, kick-boxer and equestrian.
